Taulman 680 FDA Nylon -1.75mm

Taulman 680 FDA Nylon is a very high grade nylon made with an FDA approved polymer specifically developed to meet FDA 21 CFR 177.1500 regarding indirect food contact (except for foods with over 8% Alcohol).  Taulman 680 was designed to print in the same temperature range as other taulman nylons. It is less pliable than Taulman 645 as it is intended to support many medical uses. Taulman 680 is more transparent than Taulman 645 to support non-destructive visual inspection of printed parts. 680 is a non-leaching FDA nylon that’s capable of low temperature sterilization techniques.

NOTE: Taulman 680 FDA Nylon is a controlled material as to date code, batch code and processing codes. Available to everyone, each user will be automatically assigned a”User ID”. This allows each spool to be traced back to taulman3D for verification. Taulman 680 FDA Nylon comes with 2 QR codes. One is for technical information needed by 3D Printers and the 2nd is for traceability.

Post Process capability:
Taulman 680 FDA Nylon is compatible with Ethylene oxide and Flash Steam post processing.
Note: Nylon is hygroscopic and any water based processing will require a longer dry time.

NOTE: Make sure to store nylon in an air tight container with desiccants or a de-humidifier. Make sure to dry the nylons if they’ve been left in any humidity. All nylons will re-absorb humidity from the surrounding air within 18 hours.
